Thank you MM Publications for another great seminar Teaching speaking: Practice makes perfect.
This seminar looks at the ways of teaching speaking skills to both primary and secondary school children in the communicative methodology. It provided participants with a clear vision of some techniques that can be used to boost the students' speaking skills.

Have you ever thought about the language as a miracle? Personally, I have. Languages help people to express their thoughts and to communicate. They unite people and so does English. It is called “lingua franca”, “global language” and English grammar is called glamorous. How can grammar be glamorous? What new tendencies are there in English grammar? Interested? Then visit www.edx.org and join the course called “Write101x English Grammar and Style” conducted by the professors and the best students of The University of Queensland, Australia.

It aims to introduce you to key concepts and strategies related to grammar and style. They present materials that cover grammatical principles, word usage, writing style, sentence and paragraph structure, and punctuation. They introduce you to some marvellous resources, show you video clips of interviews conducted with distinguished grammarians, such as  Professor Fred D'Agostino and David Crystal. They challenge you with quizzes and writing activities.

Thanks to this course I have learnt about many modern tendencies in writing. I am surprised that subjunctive mood and the pronoun "whom" are no longer in the wide usage. Moreover, to escape confusion modern writers should also be careful using too many adjectives. They distract people's attention from the essence of the sentence and people get bored while reading the piece of writing. You can learn even more if you join this course.
