My Perfect Reads

З 10 листопада 2014 року по 25 січня 2015 року представництво «Макміллан Ед’юкейшн» оголошує конкурс «My perfect reads». Для участі в конкурсі запрошуємо учнів 5-6 класів, 7-8 класів, 9-10 класів.     

Умови участі в конкурсі:

1.     Оберіть будь-які 3 книги серії «MACMILLAN Graded READERS»: 5-6 класи рівень Elementary, 7-8 класи рівень Pre-Intermediate, 9-10 класи рівень Intermediate.

2.    Уважно прочитайте книги на Ваш вибір.

3.    Напишіть твір про книги, які Ви прочитали, з елементами міркування про зміст книг та Ваші враження від прочитаного.

4.    Треба оформити твір таким чином: на титульній сторінці вкажіть Ваше повне ім’я, прізвище, клас/групу, номер школи, повне ім’я, по батькові та прізвище вчителя англійської мови та Ваш контактний телефон або e-mail.

5.    Вимоги до «Твору»: до 80 слів для 5-6 класів (враховуючи артиклі, прийменники); до 120 слів для 7-8 класів (враховуючи артиклі, прийменники); до 160 слів для 9-10 класів (враховуючи артиклі, прийменники).

6.    Критерії оцінки роботи: зміст, структура твору, Ваші міркування про книгу, оригінальність ідей.

Inside Writing competition

The Inside Writing competition challenges students to write creatively in English. Choose from three different writing tasks to suit the level of your students, download the sample materials to use in class, and motivate your students to get writing!

The Inside Writing competition is a global challenge. Oxford University Press will select the best writing from around the world to be awarded regional prizes. There will be up to three winners in each of the following regions: Americas, Asia (except Middle East), Middle East & Turkey, and Rest of World.

From this group of winners, we will also select one overall global winner to receive our top prize – an iPad!

2015 Headway scholarship competition

The Headway Scholarship was founded in 2004 by John and Liz Soars, authors of the famous 'Headway' series, to show their appreciation of all those students and teachers who were their inspiration and motivation.

Submit your entry by midnight on Sunday 8th March 2015 (GMT). Entries submitted after this will not be included in the competition. 

The prize

The 6 entries we judge to best illustrate our competition theme will each win:

• A 2-week English Language Teachers Summer Seminar 2015 at Exeter College, Oxford
• A certificate from Oxford University on completion of the course
• Return flight, accommodation, and meals

There will be further prizes awarded for our best runners up.
